Arthur Fleck was a mentally-ill clown, who, once pushed beyond his boiling point, finally snapped and murdered three young men. This inspired riotous activities within Gotham, many citizens donning clown paint and clown masks inspired by his anti-establishment actions.

After appearing on The Bill Murray Show and executing the host in front of his live studio audience, Arthur Fleck — now referred to as Joker — would be promptly arrested. As he was driven to Arkham Asylum, his painted visage would glow with wonder at all the dangerous acts he’d inspired within the streets.

He finally understood who he was. He finally knew he existed.

A follower of his slammed their truck into the police car in an attempt to free the clown, but the carnie’s body was never found.

With a blurry vision, Arthur awoke within the realm of Ormond. Snow decorated his suit jacket, and danced upon his face paint, as his eyes graciously took in his surroundings.

His weapon of choice rotated between a pair of scissors, and a fresh knife — each used in a similar fashion.

Within no time at all, he had understood what must be done, and began his new comedy routine — this one is gonna be one hell of a ripper!

Power

The Pseudobulbar Affect

The Joker possesses an uncontrollable laugh, that may arise at even the most inconvenient times. This laugh occurs every 90 seconds. The laugh can be heard from 48 meters away, and when survivors are affected by it, they are afflicted with hallucinations.

These hallucinations involve lockers, generators, and hooks becoming invisible — one by one, each time the survivor hears The Joker’s laughter. Despite this, generators can still be heard. If one of these items is interacted with, it will become visible for a short time.

Survivors may be brought to their senses by another survivor, which will take 10 seconds to complete. Once completed, each object will reappear in the order they were lost.

Perks

The Joker has three teachable perks: Riotous, Punch Line, and Last Laugh.

Riotous

With each act of violence and destruction, you incite riots within the hearts of many — including your own.

Bloodlust is gained 1/3/5 seconds faster. Bloodlust will not fade when breaking a pallet — however, if more than 1/2/3 pallets are broken within Bloodlust, the next pallet broken will deactivate it, and Riotous will suffer a 90/60/30 second cooldown.

Punch Line

The ending of a joke is always the best part — yours are killer.

When a survivor is hooked, all survivors will see an illusion ; the aura of each hook within a 20/40/60 meter radius with survivors on them.

The effect of this perk deactivates when a survivor escapes the hook, or is rescued from the hook.

Last Laugh

You grow immense amusement from having the last laugh in any given situation.

When the hatch spawns, a fake hatch will, as well. If a survivor attempts to escape via the fake hatch, their aura will be revealed to you for 3/5/7 seconds, along with being afflicted with the exposed status effect for 30 seconds.
